Hi, I’m Lauren!

   In 2015, I was a newly married art teacher, working on putting bits and bobs together to make our house feel like a home. I wanted to fill our home with items that were joyful, colorful, and expressed what was important to us.  I searched high and low for home decor that spoke to us and the season of life we were entering, but could not find anything!

   I  busted out my watercolor paints and began painting pictures of my beautiful wedding bouquet, which was now dull and dusty in a box. I created a painting of my husband and I in our wedding attire, next to our lovably insane dogs, who were not present at our wedding.

 

Through painting, I could capture a moment and feeling in a way a snapshot could not.

I posted photos of these paintings on social media, and had an overwhelming request for paintings from friends and family. I was so thrilled to tell people’s stories through art.
Everything was going well, but I felt like something was missing.  I wanted to make more of an impact through my art, so I decided to give to my local animal shelter, Young Williams, with every pet portrait sold.

With your support, we have fed over 500 pets in need!

Today I capture my clients’ unique seasons of life through custom watercolor paintings of their pets, families, and their homes. I even created a line of mugs, totes and pillows that are the perfect gift for people who are crazy about their pets.

• My name is Lauren Hitchcock and I live in Nashville, TN with my husband and our sweet rescue pup Roscoe (Lab/ Shepherd Mix).

• My guilty pleasure? Pineapple pizza. Does pineapple belong on pizza? I know that this is a very divisive issue, but I vote yes!

• Latest Netflix binge? The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt because I want to be Tina Fey when I grow up!
